The Megger MIT525-US insulation resistance tester measures insulation resistance, voltage, current, and capacitance in high-voltage electrical systems. The unit measures insulation resistance from 10 kilohms to 10 teraohms, voltage from 30 to 660V alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC), current from 0.01nA to 6mA, and capacitance from 10 nanofarads to 25 microfarads. It also has 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500, and 5,000V set test voltages. The tester is safety rated to European Standard EN61010-1, Category IV, 600V. It is Ingress Protection 65 (IP65)-rated to be dust-tight and protected against water sprayed from 6.3mm jets. The MIT525-US is commonly used by electricians, electrical contractors, and telecommunications workers. Safety standard met International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)/European Standards (EN) 61010-1 Cat IV 600V Mechanical standard met IP65, for complete protection from dust and water sprayed rom 6.3mm jets Dimensions 315 x 285 x 181mm / 12 x 11 x 7 inchesH is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop form, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, and leads can be used to connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit, and multimeters measure multiple properties. An electrical test meter has multiple settings corresponding to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO. The company, founded in 1889, is headquartered in Dover, England, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards. ) leads with medium clips Power lead USB cable PowerDB Lite software Instructions Insulation resistance meter measures voltage, current, capacitance, and insulation resistance in high-voltage electrical equipment Multiranging digital meter performs timed IR, PI, DAR, DD, SV, and ramp tests Safety rated to European Standard 61010-1 Category IV, 600V and is rated to IP65 to be dust-tight and protected against jets of water
